Mr. Big Set to Release New Album ‘Ten’ with Tribute to Late Drummer + VIDEO
Mr. Big is back with their 10th studio album, aptly named Ten, set to release on July 12th. The rock group gave fans a taste of the new album with the lead single Good Luck Trying, featuring a bluesy riff and a mix of fast-paced verses and a powerful chorus.
Guitarist Paul Gilbert shared insights on the track, saying, “Overall, it’s about being overwhelmed with life, and realizing that you won’t win many of the battles, but still fighting to the end.” He adds that it’s about maintaining a sense of humor through life’s challenges.
Current lineup
The album Ten is produced by both Jay Ruston and the band. Mr. Big’s current lineup includes Eric Martin, Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan, and drummer Nick D’Virgilio, who joined after original drummer Pat Torpey’s passing in 2018.
The album honors Torpey’s memory and promises to deliver brand-new material that doesn’t rely on their past work. Frontman Eric Martin assures fans, “This is raw, unadulterated riff rock and blues with all the Mr. Big trimmings.”
North American leg of Mr. Big’s farewell tour
The album release follows the North American leg of Mr. Big’s farewell tour and precedes their UK/European summer tour. Fans can look forward to the album’s arrival and can pre-order it through Frontiers Music.
