Rockstar Nuptials: Nita Strauss Ties the Knot and Jams with Legends
Guitarist Nita Strauss celebrated her marriage to Josh Villalta with a star-studded wedding reception. The couple exchanged vows on May 4th at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel in Los Angeles. Straussdidn’t let her elegant wedding attire hinder her from delivering an electrifying guitar performance.
The wedding reception was a rock enthusiast’s dream as Strauss joined Alice Cooper on stage for a rendition of the Beatles’ Back in the U.S.S.R. and added her vocals to David Draiman of Disturbed’s performance of Metallica’s Enter Sandman. Draiman also sang Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love.
The groom, also the drummer in Strauss’ solo band, played the drums during these iconic performances. The couple’s first dance was to the romantic tune of Extreme’s More Than Words.
Strauss, who has played guitar for Alice Cooper for several years, took a break in 2022 to perform with Demi Lovato, also present at the wedding. Despite her busy touring schedule, including recent headlining shows and upcoming festival appearances at Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple, Strauss found time to celebrate this personal milestone.
Looking ahead, Strauss will join Cooper on his summer US tour co-headlining with Rob Zombie starting in August. Fans can catch a glimpse of Strauss’ wedding festivities, including her performances with rock legends Alice Cooper and David Draiman, on social media and at People Magazine.
