Blues guitar legend Buddy Guy is set to bring his iconic Chicago sound to the NASCAR Chicago event, following his spectacular closing-night performance at the Chicago Blues Festival on June 9, 2024.

Guy will perform on the main stage at Grant Park Festival Field from 1:15 to 2 p.m. on July 6, as part of a star-studded music lineup.

Excitement
In a statement, Guy expressed his excitement about the event: “Last year’s Chicago Street Race was a great opportunity to put Chicago center-stage and I’m excited to join the lineup. The Blues is like gumbo. I can tell you how good it is, but you won’t know until you taste it for yourself.”

“I’m looking forward to the chance to introduce more fans to that Chicago feel, Chicago flavor, and most importantly — that Chicago sound.”

Country superstars
The July 6 lineup also includes performances by The Black Keys from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and The Chainsmokers from 8 to 9:30 p.m. On July 7, country superstars Keith Urban and Lauren Alaina are set to perform.

These performances are part of the ticketed events for the NASCAR Chicago racing weekend. Tickets can be purchased at NASCARChicago.com.
