Van Halen Family Donates $100,000 to Support School Music Programs

Wolfgang Van Halen, along with his family, has generously donated $100,000 to the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting music education in schools. This donation marks the launch of the foundation’s ‘Adopt a School’ campaign, as reported by Spencer Kaufman of Consequence Heavy.

The funds will be distributed to 100 schools nationwide, providing each with a $1,000 boost to their music programs. Wolfgang Van Halen emphasized the importance of music education, stating, “Music has been a huge part of my life, and it is our family’s great pleasure to help support music education programs and bring the gift of music to students across the country.”

Mission
Tricia Williams, CEO of Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, highlighted the organization’s goal: “Our mission is to make sure there is an instrument in the hands of every student who needs and wants one.”
