Van Halen Brothers’ Final Collaboration Unveiled: A Surprising New Sound
Alex Van Halen, drummer of the legendary band Van Halen, has shared a glimpse of the last song he recorded with his late brother, Eddie Van Halen. This unexpected reveal comes ahead of Alex’s upcoming memoir release.
The song, titled Unfinished, will be featured in the audiobook version of Alex’s memoir Brothers, set to release on October 22nd.
Alex posted a snippet of the song on his Instagram account. Surprisingly, the track shows a different side of Van Halen’s music. It’s not their usual hard rock sound, but a softer instrumental piece with both electric and acoustic guitars and a simple drum beat.
Low profile
This release is particularly significant as Alex has kept a low profile since Eddie’s passing in October 2020. He hasn’t performed or given interviews since then.
About the book, Alex said, “This is my tribute to my brother; my way of saying goodbye.” He described it as a “love letter” to Eddie.
