Toast to a Legend: Dimebag Darrell’s Dream Whiskey Finally Hits Shelves
Fans of legendary guitarist Dimebag Darrell will soon have a new way to celebrate his memory. A line of whiskey drinks called BlackTooth Beverages is coming out this summer. The brand was started by Rita Haney, Dimebag’s longtime girlfriend.
The drinks are inspired by Dimebag’s own ‘Black Tooth Grin’ cocktail from the 1990s. This mix included whiskey and a splash of Coke. The new line will have different whiskey blends and ready-to-drink cans.
Handwritten notes and lists
As Exclaim writes, Haney explained, “Darrell always wanted his own whiskey, we talked about it a lot together. I have handwritten notes and lists, with his ideas and drawings, BlackTooth was always part of those goals he wanted to reach.”
The main product is a seven-year-old rye whiskey mixed with spring water from the Rocky Mountains. There will also be canned drinks in regular and sugar-free versions.
Launch party
The launch party for BlackTooth Beverages will be on August 20th at the Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood. This date would have been Dimebag’s 58th birthday. Fans can try the new drinks and see some of Dimebag’s guitars and other items on display.
