A secret Slipknot album recorded in 2008 still hasn’t been released, and now guitarist Jim Root is getting tired of waiting. The album, called Look Outside Your Window, was made by four members of the band during the recording of their All Hope Is Gone album.

“Man, I keep telling Clown that I’m just gonna throw it up on Youtube, then put a link to it on my Instagram or something”, Root says. The band’s percussionist Clown (Shawn Crahan) always responds, “Don’t dude, just don’t.”

Root’s frustration with the delay is clear in a recent interview with Metal Hammer magazine, writes Louder Sound. He mentions that he hasn’t even heard the music in about ten years and jokes about releasing it right away.

Special Version
The recording took place in Sound Farm Studio in Iowa, with four band members taking part: Root, Crahan, singer Corey Taylor, and DJ Sid Wilson. Only one song from the album has ever been released – Til We Die – which appears on a special version of All Hope Is Gone.

Crahan promised the album would come out in 2024, saying it’s completely ready with artwork and everything. However, fans are still waiting. The album is said to be different from Slipknot’s usual style, with Taylor describing it as ‘experimental’ and ‘melodic’.
