Guns 'n Roses live in Sao Paulo in 2016 with guitarist Slash on the right alongside singer Axl Rose.

In a recent interview with Abe Kanan at 98 Rock, Slash reflected on his reunion with Axl Rose for the 2016 Not In This Lifetime tour, and admitted, “When we finally spoke and I started talking about playing, it was a huge kind of weight lifted off our shoulders”.

He expressed relief and excitement about reconnecting, highlighting the intense chemistry they rediscovered when performing together.

Worse and worse
“It was great when Axl and I started talking again, because I missed him. We had developed so much animosity that it just got worse and worse as time went on. It was exciting to get back together.”

Chemistry
There was that chemistry that happens that you sort of forget about, how intense that is when you get on stage together or just working together. So, yeah, it’s really cool, and I’m really happy that we managed to get past all that.” (source).
