Guns ‘n Roses guitarist Slash has unveiled his upcoming blues album Orgy Of The Damned, set for release on May 17 through Gibson Records. The album features a star-studded cast, including Brian Johnson, Iggy Pop, and Paul Rodgers.

The lead single, Killing Floor includes Brian Johnson on vocals and Steven Tyler on harmonica, delivering a vibrant rendition of the Howlin’ Wolf classic. The accompanying video provides a glimpse of Slash and his band recording the track.

Slash expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “But playing it with this band, and with Brian Johnson singing, it was an achievement I would never have imagined back then.”

Johnson shared his enthusiasm, commenting, “When Slash asked me to sing on Killing Floor, I said yes immediately… I had a ball with Slash in the studio, and I think we did this great old song justice. Rock on.”

Tribute to the blues
Orgy Of The Damned is a tribute to the blues, featuring collaborations with renowned artists and reuniting Slash with former bandmates. The album reflects Slash’s deep-rooted blues influences, shaped by a childhood immersed in both American blues and ’60s British rock.

The album covers a spectrum of blues styles, from a lively Crossroads to a soulful Stormy Monday, and includes a unique take on Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone with Demi Lovato. It concludes with an original instrumental, Metal Chestnut, penned by Slash for the album.
