Queen’s Brian May Bounces Back from ‘Minor Stroke’: ‘I Can Play Guitar Again’

Queen guitarist Brian May has shared some concerning health news with fans. The 77-year-old musician recently experienced what doctors called a ‘minor stroke’.

“Out of the blue, I didn’t have any control over my left arm. So it’s a little scary”, May explained in a social media post. This was particularly worrying for the guitarist, as it affected his ability to play.

Good news
However, May had good news to share as well. “I can play guitar after the events of the last few days”, he said, much to the relief of fans worldwide.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer received quick medical attention at Frimley hospital in England. He’s now following doctors’ orders to rest and avoid activities that could raise his heart rate.

Don’t want sympathy
May asked fans not to send too many well-wishes, saying, “I really don’t want sympathy.”

This isn’t May’s first health scare in recent years. In 2020, he was hospitalized after a gardening accident.
