Lemmy’s Ashes to Reside at Bloodstock Festival in Tribute Urn

Bloodstock Festival has revealed a heartfelt tribute to the late Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister. In a statement, the festival announced that a portion of Lemmy’s ashes will be displayed in a specially designed urn at the event. This tribute will become an annual fixture at Bloodstock, with the urn being showcased each year at the RAM Gallery.

According to Motörhead’s manager, Todd Singerman, “Bloodstock has always been a special place for Motörhead and for Lemmy. The people and the energy matched Lemmy’s values perfectly.” He highlighted the close relationship between Lemmy and festival organizers Alan and Vicky, noting that Lemmy’s spirit was a unifying force for them.

Vicky Hungerford of Bloodstock expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to honor Lemmy’s memory at the festival, emphasizing his personal significance to her and the Bloodstock community, Kerrang! writes.

Motörhead-themed exhibit
The festival will also feature a Motörhead-themed exhibit at the RAM Gallery, complete with artwork, memorabilia, and a replica of Lemmy’s touring dressing room. Phil Campbell, former Motörhead guitarist, is expected to attend, and the iconic Motörhead Bomber will be on display in the arena.
