KISS guitar player Paul Stanley has revealed exciting details about the band’s upcoming avatar show, promising an experience that will be ‘beyond anything that anyone else has contemplated’.

In a recent interview on Billboard’s Behind The Setlist podcast, Stanley discussed the ambitious project, which follows Pophouse Entertainment’s acquisition of KISS’s catalogue. Pophouse, known for creating ABBA’s successful Voyage show, is partnering with KISS to bring this new venture to life.

Even more impressive spectacle
Stanley expressed enthusiasm about the technology behind the show, noting that advancements since ABBA’s Voyage debut will allow for an even more impressive spectacle. The band is also collaborating with George Lucas’s Industrial Light & Magic to ensure cutting-edge visuals.

Fans got a glimpse of what’s to come during KISS’s farewell performance last December, where they unveiled an early version of their virtual band. Stanley described this as ‘an early version of what is to come and is still being worked on’.

Natural thing
Gene Simmons, KISS’s bassist, called the Pophouse deal a ‘natural thing’, reflecting on the band’s transition from live touring to this new digital era after half a century of performances.
