Former Megadeth guitarist Kiko Loureiro has released a captivating new live video for his song In Motion. The footage, taken from a performance at the iconic Ópera de Arame in Curitiba, Brazil, showcases Loureiro’s virtuosic guitar skills against the backdrop of one of Brazil’s most stunning venues.

Loureiro described the video as capturing ‘the energy and passion of the audience’ in this unique setting. The song In Motion is from his album Open Source, demonstrating Loureiro’s continued musical evolution since his departure from Megadeth.

The guitarist explained the song’s structure, from its bold opening with a tritone interval to its baroque-inspired verses and tension-filled chorus. He highlighted the incorporation of Brazilian rhythms and his approach to building and releasing musical tension throughout the piece.
