Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has lived a wild life. He has survived many dangerous situations, including being electrocuted on stage and falling from a tree. Now in his 80s, Richards has chosen the Rolling Stones song Tumbling Dice to be played at his funeral.

Richards told GQ magazine in 2008: “It’s hard to put it into a two-and-a-half-minute song. But I think Tumbling Dice.” When asked if he’d want it played at his funeral, he joked, “I hope so. Just as long as I’m not there”, Far Out Magazine writes.

Gambler
Tumbling Dice is about a gambler who likes to party. Mick Jagger wrote the words, but Richards created the music. Richards thinks this song best shows his way of life.

Jagger, however, doesn’t like the song as much as Richards does. He once said, “I don’t really know what people like about it. I don’t think it’s our best stuff.”
