Helloween Tease New Album as 40th Anniversary Celebrations Continue

Helloween guitarist Kai Hansen has shared an exciting update about the band’s new studio album. In a recent video message, Hansen revealed that the mixing process for the upcoming release is now complete.
“A bit of teasing doesn’t hurt…” Hansen said in his video update, giving fans something to look forward to while they wait for more details.
The legendary German metal band, whose career spans four decades, is currently celebrating their 40th anniversary, as Metal Archives writes. They recently released a massive compilation titled “March Of Time (The Best Of 40 Years)” featuring 42 handpicked tracks from their impressive catalog.
Twin guitar work
Helloween is widely credited with creating power metal, a genre that combines thrash metal speed, twin-guitar work inspired by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, and melodic elements from European folk music. Their influence on the metal scene can’t be overstated, with countless bands following in their footsteps.
The band’s history has seen both triumphs and challenges. After early success with albums like “Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part I” and “Part II,” they faced lineup changes when founding member Kai Hansen left in 1989, followed by vocalist Michael Kiske. However, they found renewed success with new singer Andi Deris starting with 1994’s “Master Of The Rings.”
Reunion
In a major development for metal fans, Hansen and Kiske returned to the band in 2016, creating a seven-member lineup for the highly successful Pumpkins United world tour. This reunion led to their self-titled 2021 album, which topped charts worldwide.
Helloween will continue their 40th anniversary celebrations with a European tour this fall. With over 10 million albums sold and a newly mixed album on the way, these power metal pioneers show no signs of slowing down.
