Eddie Van Halen’s long-lost Canadian flag electric guitar is set to be auctioned by Julien’s Auctions as part of their bi-annual ‘Played, Worn & Torn: Rock N’ Roll Iconic Guitars’ event.

This 1993 Ernie Ball Music Man model re-emerged after 30 years, igniting a wave of nostalgia, writes Julien’s Auctions.

The guitar, originally finished in purple translucent, was customized with a Canadian flag design for a Canada Day concert at Molson Park in 1993. Van Halen played this guitar during the encore, performing hits like Jump and You Really Got Me.

Piece of rock ‘n roll history
Julien’s notes, “One piece of rock and roll history that has remained absent from the world for three decades”, highlighting its significance.

The guitar comes with a black hardshell case, a concert ticket, and photos from the event, all signed by the band.

Proceeds
Proceeds from the auction, set for November, will benefit the City Of Hope, a leading research and treatment center for cancer and other life-threatening diseases. For more details, visit Julien’s Auctions.
