D’Addario Marks 50 Years with Grand Celebration of Musical Innovation
World-renowned musical instrument accessories manufacturer D’Addario is pulling out all the stops to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The company, known for its strings, drumheads, and reeds, has announced a series of special events and product releases to mark this significant milestone.
Jim D’Addario, Founder & Chairman, expressed his gratitude for the company’s long-standing success. “Our anniversary is a testament to our dedication to providing musicians with the tools and accessories that inspire their highest level of performance,” he said in a recent statement.
Scrollable digital timeline
To share its rich history with fans and customers, D’Addario has launched a scrollable digital timeline on its website. This interactive feature traces the company’s journey from its 400-year-old roots in Italy to its current position as a global industry leader.
The company is also tapping into nostalgia with a limited-edition line of vintage-inspired merchandise and a special 50th Anniversary Collector’s tin featuring original packaging designs of their iconic strings.
Multi-episode documentary
In a nod to its commitment to preserving its legacy, D’Addario has produced Jim’s Corner, a multi-episode documentary series offering an in-depth oral history of the company.
The anniversary celebrations will culminate in a special concert, “A World-Class Evening of Classical Guitar,” scheduled for September 28th at Guild Hall in East Hampton. This event revives a D’Addario tradition from the 1970s and will feature performances by renowned guitarists including Paco Peña and Ben Verdery.
